Physical Presentation

I am going to have a trifold that will have my poster in the middle, and on both sides facts and figures about unsolved homicides. I will also have a laptop to show my website, and will be using my iPad to showcase my app to the judges.

PSA Script

Unsolved homicide rates in the United States of America have risen over the past few years to numbers only seen in developing countries. There have been many reasons, for these rates to rise, but the main reason is the lack of community involvement. This website is dedicated to trying to strengthen the bond between the community and the police departments so that we can lower the unsolved homicide rates.

End Product

For my capstone project, my end product will be an app that lists many different things. One section will list the current top 10 most wanted by the FBI. The other section will list some of the unsolved homicides by state. This section will include details about some of the unsolved cases that have occurred in that state, also i want to include a section where there is numbers for every state's crime stoppers' number, so that way people will have an easy way to call crime stoppers and give them whatever information they have.

Website Slides

I believe these slides go together because they all base off the same color and fonts, and also all of them have the same message. They also go with my website because the colors are close enough, and I also used the same font that I used as my headline on my website. These slides match with my topic, because my goal is to get the community to work together to help solve unsolved homicides.

Monday 2-11 Website Information

Purpose: to give information, to be an additional visual tool

Target Audience: judges, IMED instructor, people in the community

Navigation System: I am going to have a random navigation system so that people visiting my website will be able to navigate to any page on my website from any page on my website. My navigation will be going down the left side of the webpage. Buttons.

Layout & Design: I will be using blue for the background and a gray for the navigation.  For the organization of my website I will be using Divtags, CSS rules, bold texts, page breaks, etc.

Capstone Draft Poster

Poster Research

The things I am researching for capstone poster project are things that have to deal with Unsolved Homicides, because that is what my capstone project is over. The things I have chosen to put in my poster is a puzzle that has one piece missing, and put the slogan as "you can be the piece that solves the puzzle" to better the community's involvement in police investigations.

Practice Posters

On Monday we looked at everyone's practice posters on environmental concerns. Looking at these posters, made me realize what I needed to fix and add to my capstone poster to make it look really good. Things like the different textures and different fonts that can really make your poster look good, and really draw people's attention in.

Poster Practice

I picked the black and white to go on the top to symbolize our society putting our bad habits in the past, and the color for the bottom to show where out future should go. I put the harmful products in red to show that the products are not good for our environment, and the healthy items in green to show that those are good for our environment.

Environmental Concerns

On Monday January 27th, we discussed in class the many things that can impact the environment. We learned that these things can impact the environment in many ways, such as male frogs developing ovaries. We were then assigned to build a poster that tries to get across the point that the environment is in jeopardy to other people.

P90X Project

On friday, my group broke down the different things that sale the p90x product. More specifically, our group looked at the things like music, promotions, logos, etc.

Senior Capstone Project Idea

My project was denied, and I have to rethink an idea.

Why I HATE Senior Capstone

1. Waste Of Time
2. Too Much Work (more than my regular college classes)
3. Teachers are rude, and do not seem to want to help you. They can't even explain to you what the point, or what the project is.
